When in the Sunday Times we find an article we can rejoice in we are quick to point it out and show it to others. When we find an article that stinks and is sad and disgraceful, then we point it out and show it to others. What is the difference. An ipod would say nothing, just information. An article would say, nothing, just news. An informant would say, both are tastes and I prefer the other. But a human being with judicial practice might say, I prefer justice. Which do you prefer: ipod or justice?
I prefer justice when I go into human action and deciets of all kinds and not when I am present to myself. When present to myself I like to have the good ideas and kinship ties. Justice refuses those unless we can be equals and no one yet has made me an equal. Do you suppose you could and if so how? I work on it and am equal in my discussions, aims and deliverances but not in my giving. I still give too much. How do you give.
Three questions but all the same. The ipod gives equally, so does the judge. The informant to whom ever pays and I give to love. Which are you? An ipod, a judge or a human being gifted so to give to love? I prefer the judge but am not one. Who is?
Another question but the same if you look at it as a Buddhist does, with an eye on justice and an eye on performance of a right kind, practice. I practice love and still give too much. When is too much too much and too little not enough? That’s the question we should seek as Buddhists and not care for the cause and effect until love is established and all is cherished. The fact that love is not established and I seek it is cause enough to say that love should be not a hindrance or an effect to work itself out but a reaction to be held and an perception to be acted towards at all costs and to be in sight of at all times. As I said, when is enough enough and too little not enough?
Something to say?
